About Wilson
Over the last twenty years I have worked in a variety of congregational ministry roles in Tennessee, Texas, and Australia. To say the least, I have learned to have quite the accent!
I have also learned about many important dimensions in the life of a church through responsibilities that include: working with young adults, preaching and teaching, adult spiritual formation, small groups, and training leaders. I am grateful to have experienced so many parts within the life of a congregation around the world and to have served for over a decade at my current congregation.
One of the experiences that I am most grateful for happened through my doctoral work in the area of intergenerational spiritual formation. Here I saw the power of bringing various ages together in intentional and mutual ways. I continue to try to share with other churches and leaders about this important ministry through speaking, writing, and podcasting.
I also serve on the Leadership Team of the international conference, Intergenerate, which aims to bring together academics and practitioners into conversation about intergenerational ministry.
All of the above are important parts of my work and ministry. However, if you want to know the most important part of my life, then you need to look no further than to my wife and daughters.
Jessica is a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, who owns her own business and runs an amazing Instagram account. Together we like to walk in our neighborhood, take trips to the beach, and escape to Disney World.
If I get any time to myself, then you can find me in the kitchen baking bread, running off those calories, and rocking out to Wilco the whole time.
